Preußisches Nationaldenkmal für die Befreiungskriege – Berlin

The Prussian National Monument for the Wars of Liberation, designed by Karl Friedrich Schinkel and erected between 1818 and 1821 on the Kreuzberg hill in Berlin, is a 19-meter cast-iron Neo-Gothic spire commemorating the Wars of Liberation (1813–1815) against Napoleon. Adorned with twelve sculptural figures symbolizing key battles and patriotic virtues, it served as a national symbol of unity, renewal, and Prussia’s victory, and today remains an important protected landmark within Berlin’s Viktoriapark.
