The Einstein Tower, also known as the Einstein Observatory, is an astrophysical observatory located on the Telegrafenberg hill in Potsdam, Germany. It is one of the most unique scientific buildings in the world, both for its architectural style and its historic contributions to astrophysics. Designed by the renowned architect Erich Mendelsohn in 1920, the building was constructed to support experiments that would test Albert Einstein’s Theory of General Relativity, specifically through observations of the Sun.
