My visit to Highgate Cemetery felt like stepping into a quiet, overgrown story where time had softened around the edges. Ivy curled over gravestones, paths wandered without urgency, and the whole place carried a hushed stillness that made every step feel deliberate. Among the many resting there are figures like Karl Marx, George Eliot, Douglas Adams, and Michael Faraday, each adding their own quiet weight of history to the landscape.
What stayed with me most was the blend of history and nature. Grand Victorian monuments stood beside weathered stones, while trees and light slowly reshaped the scene. It didn’t feel purely somber, more like a gentle merging of past and present.
